Position Summary:


This position is responsible for supervising the production of assigned projects.  This position interacts frequently with Production Coordinators, Project Managers, Estimators, Customers (Home Owners, Tenants, Property Managers, etc.), Subcontractors, Business Development, Vendors, Building Officials and Insurance Professionals.    


 


Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities:


  • Assume primary responsibility for assigned projects from commencement to completion
  • Respond to emergencies as required and assist with providing coordination of emergency service teams
  • Monitor the work schedule and report any deviations to the General Manager
  • Verify a superior level of workmanship is provided on all projects
  • Upload daily job notes to the Production General Manager or office staff
  • Review and approve construction drawings and specifications for accuracy
  • Assist the General Manager with obtaining vendor estimates
  • Treat all vendors in a professional manner
  • Only use client vendors who have met the minimum insurance and training standards
  • Efficiently schedule vendors with sufficient advance notice
  • Review budget prior to project commencement
  • Keep project cost within budget
  • Complete projects on or before projected completion date
  • Report discrepancies between the estimate and actual field conditions to the General Manager within 48 hours.  This includes assisting in documenting supplements and change orders.
  • Proceed with a project only if an authorization and/or contract has been secured, deductible collected (where applicable) and first draw collected
  • Order material after proper customer authorization has been obtained
  • Maintain a safe, secure, clean and organized jobsite
  • Upload all expenses into company software every 72 hours
  • Approve submitted vendor expenses via software on a daily basis
  • Upload documents (service agreements, sub-estimates, receipts, photos, drawings, etc.) to office software and submit required hard copies to the General Manager  
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable on an as needed basis
  • Allocate time to projects on a daily basis through office software  
  • Be punctual. Communicate any necessary absences to the General Manager
  • Communicate required back charges to vendors to the General Manager
  • Upon completion of every project obtain a signed Statement of Satisfaction
  • Participate in First Responder on-call rotation with other team members
  • Actively participate with business development events associated with the assigned target market
  • Report to the General Manager any conditions where assistance is needed to improve the department or company
  • Review and approve subcontract & vendor invoices timely
  • Ensure all OSHA safety requirements are met on the job site
  • Attend and actively participate in every weekly market team meeting as scheduled by the General Manager

Experiences / Education Requirements

  • Three-years as commercial Construction Superintendent or Five-years in construction with hands-on in the field experience
  • High School Diploma, College education a plus
  • Demonstrate moderate to advanced computer expertise
  • knowledge in material take-offs
  • OSHA 10 Hour Training – Construction Industry is plus

  • CLIENT collared shirt during customer contact  
  • Khaki cargo pants if applicable
  • Leather safety boots
  • ID badge if applicable
  •  hard hat when required
  • CLIENT Jacket (winter) if applicable

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders and roofs in excess of one story
  • Ability to withstand extreme outdoor temperatures for extended periods of time
  • Maintain a professional, well groomed and clean appearance
